This is one of the problems with the 6.X guide, it doesn’t tell you explicitly that you need to type the following.

Administrator@vSphere.local

After that you should get a new password that you can use to log in. 
This password can then be used to access the WebGUI of the appliance and 
there you can set your administrator@vsphere.local password back

Issue :- Windows cannot access samba share

what is the problem : – I have created  directory as /BACKUP but i have mentioned  in samba path as /backup so here samba share path is not correct hence i getting below error

FIX : – Modify correct share directory name and restart samba service it will work.


Problem  : – samba is not accessible. you might not have permission to use this network resource

why it happens: –  Windows machine still pointing older samba shares hence you got above issue . Need to be clear the samba cache

FIX :-  Need to be clear the samba cache

Open command line console (menu start -> run -> cmd (ctrl + shift +enter will open with Administrator privileges))
>net use
>net use \\address_ip\share /delete
eg.
>net use \\192.168.1.1\photos /delete
